Hitman Treble: Premier League’s top 3 scorers boosted to notch

Published:

Ask any casual football fan for the best two strikers in the Premier League at the start season and more often than not we’d wager that Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa cropped up in the answers.

Now, with just 11 games to go in the season it’s possible that another, unexpected, goal getter may have infiltrated people’s thinking as far as the pecking order is concerned.

With 14 league goals to his name this term, Spurs’ Harry Kane has unquestionably been the breakout star of the campaign.

Luckily for Ladbrokes customers though, they don’t have to choose between the Premier League’s top-scoring trio. Instead, the bookie has made things easy when it comes to backing each one to score, by lumping all three together in the latest outing of the hitman treble.

What was once a 9/2 chance for all three strikers scoring on Wednesday night is now a very tempting 6/1 possibility.

Here’s a rundown of each man’s form heading into the midweek schedule:

Sergio Aguero – Man City v Leicester

A recent six-game stretch without a goal was ended for the Argentine when he netted in the 4-1 away drubbing of Stoke. Including the brace he bagged that day, he has four goals in as many games.

Diego Costa – West Ham v Chelsea

The Brazilian-turned-Spaniard hasn’t found the back of the net four five games but scored in the reverse fixture against the Hammers in December. He also has three goals in his last two Premier League away games for Chelsea.

Harry Kane – Tottenham v Swansea

The Walthamstow lad has more goals in all competitions than either of his associates in this bet, with 24 in 39 appearances. Kane is in form too; despite not bagging in either of his last two outings he still boasts a recent record of six strikes in seven.
