Hitman Treble: Man City striker joins compatriots in goal boost

Published:

On many occasions, backing strikers of Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Lionel Messi’s quality all to score isn’t likely to be the most ambitious of trebles, but with Ladbrokes’ Hitman Treble enhancement this particular occasion makes it worthwhile.

As all three Argentine strikers face sides they would fancy to score against, the bookmaker boosts the price of the trio all finding the net from 4/1 to 6s. Below is a brief analysis on each man’s form in front of goal:

Sergio Aguero v Burnley

Having failed to cash in on the goal front in 85 minutes against Leicester, Aguero will surely head to Burnley looking to extend his recent run of form.

With four goals in his last five games there is certainly reason to believe that, against the second-most leaky defence in the division, he will only improve that mark.

Carlos Tevez v Palermo

The Juventus striker has been a more prolonged period of excellence, having bagged nine strikes in his previous 13 outings for The Old Lady.

He didn’t score in the home game with Palermo earlier in the season, but with six of his 15 goals coming away from home this term there’s confidence in him featuring on the score sheet this time around.

Lionel Messi v Eibar

Messi’s last appearance was a hat-trick against Rayo Vallecano, making it 20 goals in 17 all-competition games for Barcelona for the diminutive genius.

Unlike his compatriots, Messi did manage to find the net in the reverse fixture with Rayo and has 13 strikes against them in eight outings over the course of his career.
