Despite United thrashing Liverpool in the return fixture, far more creedence has been given to how the sides have performed in the three months since. Liverpool don’t play pretty but in EPL betting they get results and that’s all the market cares about.
United overcame the first hurdle in their current brutal stretch with ease, hammering Spurs last weekend. It’s hard to see Louis van Gaal’s side keeping up that kind of form through the current stretch however and the wider string of games points to a team on the verge of a slide.

Taking matters back to Saturday briefly and Man City have a must-win game to kick off the weekend’s action against West Brom.
Having excited the Champions League, despite the heroics of Joe Hart, the EPL champions only have the league left to play for.
After the rest of City’s superstars stuttered on Wednesday, you have to expect them to bounce back big time at home. I don’t like the way things are shaking out for the Baggies at the moment. I’m backing City big. Bet on Man City at 2.12 on the Asian Handicap at -1.5/2.

Finally we turn our attentions to the Camp Nou where supremacy in the race for La Liga is at stake.
There may be no bigger fixture in football than Barcelona vs Real Madrid and this Sunday’s Clasico promises to be a heavyweight battle for the ages.
Lionel Messi had a spell this season where he nearly looked mortal. Had the maestro finally started to slow down? Not a chance. T
he turn into 2015 has brought back the Messi of old and he’s taking no prisoners. The race may be tight but I only see one outcome on Sunday night. Bet on Barcelona at 1.74 to win.
