Chelsea look out in front in the race to sign ‘new Neymar’

Chelsea could be left in the clear to bag a highly-rated Brazilian youngster, with interest in Fluminense’s Kenedy reportedly increasing, as their rivals drop away.

Both Inter Milan and Manchester United were rumoured to be battling it out to sign the 19-year-old, but the Italian outfit are now focusing their attention on Barcelona’s Pedro, according to Leonardo.it.

Former Blues midfielder Deco is now acting as the player’s representative, so would be a handy middle-man for the Stamford Bridge outfit to get their target.

Ladbrokes News’ reported how Manchester United were focusing their attentions on ‘new Kaka’ Roberto Firmino, so the current Premier League leaders look out on their own in the race for the ‘new Neymar’.

A master of trickery, Kenedy would certainly dazzle if he made the move to west London in the summer.

But far from being a one-trick pony the starlet doesn’t half have a decent shot on him…

He has represented Brazil at both an under-17 and under-20 level, and will surely progress into a senior member of the Selecao squad, should he continue to deliver the same kind of performances.

His current club are currently holding out for more than the €5-6m bid they received from an unnamed club last month, a figure that would provide no stumbling block should Mourinho really want to bring the player to the capital.

With the likes of Oscar, Ramires and Filipe Luis already at the club, the Brazilian will certainly fit in well at the club that by the time he potential joins will have wrapped up a fourth Premier League title.
