Solomona could fly this year, claims Castleford team mate

Published:

Castleford could end up being one of the biggest benefactors of London Broncos’ relegation to the Championship.

That is the impression given by Tigers second rower Matt Cook, who claims new recruit and ex-Bronco Denny Solomona is set to have a solid season.

Speaking to Ladbrokes News, Cook stated that Solomona has great potential and revealed his aspirations to fight for trophies this term.

What would be a successful season for Castleford in Super League XX?

I think it’ll be a very good season. We want to be up there at the top of the table fighting for silverware. We had a good year last year so it’s about building on that and taking it up another step.

If you could pick any other Super League player to sign for Castleford this year who would you pick and why?

I’ll say no one. I think our team’s good enough as it is.

Who will be the next big thing at Castleford?

Denny Solomona has come from London and if he gets off to a flyer and knuckles down he’ll be one to watch for sure.

If Ladbrokes gave you a free £100 bet (other than Castleford) to win the Super League who would pick and why?

I’d go with Catalans. Everyone’ll be picking Wigan but I think Catalans offer better odds and could be the surprise.

Ladbrokes are the proud new sponsors of the Challenge Cup, what is your favourite memory of the competition?

My worst memory is getting hammered by Wigan in the semis and that’s all I can remember.
