Ladbrokes offer newbies huge odds on either Everton or Liverpool

| 06.02.2015

It’s one of the tastiest fixtures on the Premier League calendar and to reward new mobile and online customers registering with Ladbrokes, the bookmaker is giving them a straight choice for the Merseyside derby: blue or red?

In the regular match-betting market there isn’t a huge amount to separate these city rivals, as Ladbrokes go 11/5 on a home win for Everton and 13/10 about Liverpool nicking all three points.

However, those signing up for the first time can forget about such slender potential dividends and drool instead over Everton to win, boosted to a whopping 8/1 or, Liverpool to run out victorious at 6/1.

At first glance 8/1 on a team of Everton’s stature to claim three points at Goodison Park appears gift-wrapped, but this has been an unusual campaign for
Roberto Martinez’s men, especially at home.

The Toffees have only won three of 11 league matches in front of their own this season and the last of those arrived in mid December against a QPR side which has lost every one of their 11 away matches this term.

Of course, the cliché which is bandied about is that form goes out the window, but chasing a fifth win in six away games, Liverpool are no strangers to claiming bragging rights.

The Reds have only lost once in 16 Premier League matches against their nearest geographical foes, winning four of the last nine in all competitions.
