Kane v Giroud in the battle of the north London derby price boosts

Published:

The north London derby rarely disappoints when it comes to goals and all round action and this Saturday should be no different with two of the Premier League’s most potent strikers set to go head-to-head.

Whether people care to admit it or not, when it comes to the eternal battle between Tottenham and Arsenal, we all have our personal preference.

So with neutrality taking a back seat, Ladbrokes is calling on all customers to choose their sides and back their man to score – Harry Kane or Olivier Giroud.

Harry Kane to score first – was 11/2 now 7/1

With 20 goals in 33 appearances already this season Kane is in the midst of a season to remember and the 21-year-old looks a great pick to open the scoring at White Hart Lane after scoring twice away at West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

The Spurs youngster has already shown he can do it in the big games, scoring a brace in the Lilywhites’ 5-3 victory over Chelsea, and having scored the opener four times for Tottenham already in the Premier League this season, he looks a reliable pick to do it again here.

Olivier Giroud to score first – was 5/1 now 7/1

Back in the team following an injury lay-off, Giroud has picked up where he left off last season with a solid seven goals from 12 appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League this term.

A fine finisher who is similarly adept in the air, the 28-year-old has scored five goals in his last six top-flight outings for Arsenal – a tally that may well have been greater had it not been for a foolish red card against QPR – and scored the first goal of the game against Aston Villa last week.

The Frenchman also netted the opener against Newcastle earlier this term and with goals against Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton already this term looks a good bet to score on the big stage.
