Hitman Treble: Huge odds on Barca, Juve and Man City scorers

Published:

Narrowing down a crop of world-class strikers to back just one on a Champions League night can be a tough task, but luckily for Ladbrokes customers the Hitman Treble offer makes such tricky choices a thing of the past.

As the round-of-16 continues with a mouth-watering pair of ties, the bookie has bundled a trio of the biggest names in world football together for a truly staggering price about all three finding the net on Tuesday night.

What was once available at 8/1 for Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero to score at anytime in their respective matches is now given a whopping 12/1 chance.

That’s a price that really must be snapped up, as our run down of each man’s form makes abundantly clear.

Lionel Messi v Manchester City

Cristiano Ronaldo’s best mate has 37 goals in 37 appearances for club and country this season, which doesn’t need Carol Vorderman to work out that he’s likely to bag against the English Premier League champions.

Messi struck eight times during the Champions League group phase and enters the round-of-16 clash having bagged six goals in his last five outings.

Carlos Tevez v Borussia Dortmund

Scoring in Serie A has been easy for the former Manchester-based striker. 19 goals in his debut campaign have been followed by 14 so far in the current one, but in the past few years European goalscoring has been a good deal tougher for Tevez.

Happily that looks to have been an affliction he has dealt with this season, as three goals in this Champions League campaign easily betters the one he managed in the last four terms combined.

Sergio Aguero v Barcelona

This time last year, injury to the diminutive Argentine left Manchester City understrength for their round-of-16 clash with Barca.

With Aguero now clearly fit and firing, this could be a much more even contest than it was last season, providing City are able to keep 11 men on the pitch.

Their star striker has warmed up nicely for the clash, scoring three times in two games and has five Champions League strikes on his record this season.
