Chelsea v Burnley: Ivanovic the stand-out amongst three regular tips

Published:

With just one point separating Burnley from the Premier League safe-zone, Sean Dyche’s men can be fairly secure in the knowledge that a few decent results down the line can drag them out from the mire.

However, with their next assignment a visit to league leaders Chelsea, those ‘decent results’ may have to wait a while.

The Clarets are priced up at 16/1 to cause another huge shock at Stamford Bridge following Bradford’s win in the FA Cup.

According to Ladbrokes, it should be a walk in the park for Mourinho’s men with a Blues victory short enough at 2/11, but at that price there are some much better value wagers to have.

Chelsea to win to nil @ 3/4

Winning Premier League games without conceding seems to come as standard for the Pensioners in west London this season.

Nine of their 12 league matches in front of their own fans have ended with a shut-out victory, and with a struggling Lancashire outfit in town, that impressive record can be extended further.

Burnley have only scored in half of their road-trips this campaign, and may struggle to get on the scoresheet again.

Chelsea to score two or three goals @ Evens

A season-long favourite tip for Ladbrokes News, with the Premier League table-toppers frequent in delivering two or three strikes each match.

In fact a whopping 75 per cent of games at the Bridge have seen the likes of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Oscar contribute to either two or three goals going the way of the Blues.

This bet is strengthened when looking at how many goals Burnley’s opponents have scored in seven of their last nine Premier League matches…you’ve guessed it, two or three.

Branislav Ivanovic to score at any time @ 15/4

Our very own tip for the Serb to find the net against Aston Villa duly obliged at 5/1, and with him getting on the scoresheet against PSG in midweek, we are sticking by the full-back.

With three goals in five games, the 30-year-old is, by a defender’s standard, in red-hot goal-scoring form.

And with Ivanovic getting on the scoresheet in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Burnley earlier in the season, he could be a spot of value.
