Super Bowl XLIX: Back two certain TD scorers for a tidy profit

Published:

The entire season has all come down to this, the final match of the year, to see whether the Seattle Seahawks will repeat as NFL champions or the New England Patriots will stop them.

As all the talk and guesswork comes to an end, there’s plenty of betting markets to explore for Super Bowl XLIX, dubbed the greatest show on earth, but we’ve stuck to three of the more basic ones for our tips:

Marshawn Lynch to score a touchdown at anytime @ 4/7

Lynch scored 11 more touchdowns over the course of the season than any of the rest of the Seahawks managed.

As the focal point of the offense for the defending champs, the running back’s price to score should be far shorter than what is being offered, especially as he scored in the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win over the Denver Broncos 12 months ago.

Rob Gronkowski to score New England Patriots’ first touchdown @ 7/2

Like Lynch, the New England Patriots’ tight end is the first option for Tom Brady whenever he looks to throw the ball.

Gronkowski topped the Patriots’ touchdown charts with 12 over the course of the season and he’s understandably the favourite to be the first guy to be tossed a touchdown pass by his quarterback during the game.

Seattle Seahawks to win @ 10/11

In order to win the Super Bowl last season, the Seahawks had to overcome one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.

By beating Peyton Manning, Seattle proved their defense is a match for the best and it’s a common train of thought that defences win championships.
