Meet the line up for this year’s PDC Premier League Darts

With the PDC World Darts Championship recently coming to a thrilling finale and the BDO version in full swing it’s fair to say that the 2015 darts love affair is well and truly here.
One of the key competitions to watch out for over the coming months, though, is the PDC’s Premier League Darts tournament, and with the line-up confirmed here are 2015’s runners and riders.
A winner of this competition in 2013 the young Dutchman will be kicking himself for not reaching the final at Ally Pally and will be going all out to reclaim this crown.
Went one better than MVG in north London but failed to add to his 16 world crowns. Critics say he is on the downside of his career but he refuses to go quietly and looks a good bet to claim a seventh Premier League crown.
The Scot will be absolutely buzzing after claiming a maiden world title and after beating The Power in the final he’ll be confident of adding to his 2011 win in this format and looks good value.
A two-time world champions and 2011 Premier League runner up, Lewis is always making it to the business end of top tournaments. After seeing Anderson defy odds of 7/1 at Ally Pally plenty will be tempted by the Stoke thrower.
Three quarter finals and a semi final on his debut PDC season show former BDO world champion Bunting is coping well with the transitions. Many believe a first PDC title is a matter of time and this could be his best chance.
A winner in 2009, Wade can mix it with the best on his day but those days are not as regular as they once were. Can never be discounted in the ante-post market but at 14s will attract only ardent fans.
As current champion, Barney looks a cracking price to retain his title, especially after only bowing out at Ally Pally when pitted against The Power Last year’s triumph was his only title since 2012 though so another win looks unlikely. Verdict? Worth a small punt, just in case.
Reaching the 2014 World Championship final and wearing garish clothing has made Wright a fan favourite, but that tournament aside he has failed to bother the engravers. Best avoided.
Another fan favourite who has failed to win a major PDC event. He may get the crowd riled up with his walk on music but he won’t be making backers rich anytime soon.
Never better than a runner-up in the PDC, the 29-year-old Belgian is making his Premier League debut and looks set to simply make up the numbers. Swerve.
