AFCON: Bolasie to bring it and Tunisia look tasty in three best bests

Published:

Attention turns to Group B in the Africa Cup of Nations this Thursday with little settled after the opening round of fixtures in this pool provided us with two draws and just four goals.

Fortunately we’ve waded through all the important information to bring you three top tips including a rather predictable result, an impressive price boost and a goal for a Premier League favourite!

Tunisia to win and both teams to score @ 11/2 – Boosted from 9/2!

Dark horses to win the tournament, Tunisia are on a run of eight games without defeat going into this game and while they may have been held to a 1-1 draw last time out at this tournament, they will fancy their chances Zambia.

The Zambians lost in their previous meeting with the Cape Verde Islands, during qualifying, so it stands to reason that a Tunisia side who managed a draw against the Islanders will come out on top here.

The 2013 winners were largely sluggish against DR Congo in the group opener and could be put to the sword by an exciting Tunisia outfit. But with both teams scoring and conceding in their previous fixtures don’t be surprised to see goals at either end.

Cape Verde Islands v Congo DR – 1-1 final score @ 5/1

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations is quickly shaping up to be one dominated by the familiar spectre of the 1-1 scoreline, with that score recorded in five of the first eight group fixtures played.

And with DR Congo and the Cape Verde Islands both playing out 1-1 draws in their opening fixtures, another 1-1 stalemate could suit all concerned, ensuring they go into the final round of games with plenty to play for.

Yannick Bolasie to score anytime @ 16/5

DR Congo’s undoubted star and one of the most underrated players in the Premier League at present, Bolasie looks destined for bigger things than Crystal Palace and that could start with a star showing at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The pacy winger was in his element in the last game, getting on the scoresheet against a defensively solid Zambia side and with the Cape Verde Islands likely to provide less stiff resistance, another goal could be on the cards for the 25-year-old.
