Price Boost: Giroud backed to heap Emirates misery on QPR

Christmas looks set to come a little later for Arsenal this year and Ladbrokes customers could be among the beneficiaries as the Gunners host QPR at the Emirates on Boxing Day.

Rangers have yet to pick up a point away from home in the Premier League and while Rs hotshot Charlie Austin is the current flavour of the month, for us it’s all about the rugged good looks and goals of a certain Olivier Giroud.

Back in the Arsenal starting line-up following a long-term injury lay-off, the mercurial marksman has wasted no time in getting back to goalscoring ways, with five Premier League goals to his name already since returning last month.

Among the goals against Liverpool last weekend, the 28-year-old also netted a brace against a Newcastle side who had previously dispatched league leaders Chelsea.

And with a defensively shaky QPR coming to the Emirates, the French star will surely be expected to add to his tally.

The Rs have shipped nine goals in their last five games and have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight, with their away form a particular concern.

In games played away from Loftus Road, QPR have managed to score just three times in eight games, while conceding a whopping 20 goals over the same period.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are on a run of three consecutive wins in all competitions at home and will be confident of extending that run with Giroud in tow.

The Frenchman has been boosted from 7/2 to 9/2 to score the first goal of the game and after netting 22 goals in all competitions last term he certainly looks the man to trust in.

Prior to his recent injury lay-off the 28-year-old had been in great form for both club and country, getting on the score sheet for France at the World Cup.

And if his goals against Manchester United and more recently Newcastle and Liverpool are anything to go by, this could be one boost you won’t want to miss out on.
