Nottingham Forest v Leeds: Blackstock to fire in home win

Published:

Neither Nottingham Forest nor Leeds have been slathering themselves in glory of late in the Championship, with the pair able to boast just four wins between them since the start of October.

For the hosts, victories are needed to push the early-season table-toppers back into the play-off picture, while Leeds still need to put a little more breathing space between them and the drop zone.

Here are our three best bets for the match.

Nottingham Forest to win @ 3/4

Forest have rarely sparkled in front of their own fans this season, winning just four of their 10 matches at the City Ground, but they should improve that record against the Championship’s worst travellers.

Leeds have picked up just one win and five points in total in their 10 away games this term, conceding 22 goals in the process.

The Whites have also lost five of their past six matches on the road, as well as four of their past five games against Forest.

Over 2.5 goals @ 17/20

The pair have played out some stunning matches in recent years, with the most notable being a 7-3 Forest win at Elland Road in 2012.

In total, six of their last seven meetings have gone over 2.5 strikes, and the City Ground has also witnessed more than its fair share of goals of late.

Four of Forest’s past five home games have seen at last three goals, and the same is true of Leeds’ last five away matches.

Dexter Blackstock to score at any time @ 6/4

The 28-year-old is yet to open his account for the season, but he has a fine record against the club he spent some time on loan at last term.

Blackstock has scored in each of his past four matches against Leeds, netting five times in total in that run.
