Having lost to the Dallas Cowboys in gameweek 15 it’s hardly surprising to see the 9-5 Eagles now cast as outsiders to claim the title behind their 10-4 NFC East rivals.
However, a look ahead to the remaining fixtures in conjunction with a broken hand for the Cowboys star running-back DeMarco Murray, means the outsiders rate a smart choice to grapple back top spot by the conclusion of week 17.
The Eagles face modest opposition in fellow NFC East opponents Washington and the New York Giants – both comfortably beaten earlier in the season – while Dallas face high-flying Indianapolis on a four-game winning streak at the AT & T next.
New England Patriots to win the AFC Conference @ 5/4
Only the Denver Broncos currently match the Superbowl favourites regular season tally of 11-3 heading into the home straight and the run-in is a kind one.
With Tom Brady calling the shots, Patriots face the bottom two in the AFC East, finishing off in the familiar surroundings of the Gillette Stadium against Buffalo.
Brady threw a 361-yard game in a comfortable 37-22 victory at the Bills back in October too.
