League Two Accumulator: Burton are this weekend’s ultimate banker

Published:

When it comes to betting, everyone loves it when they think they’ve stumbled across some kind of magic winning formula and League Two punting is no different.

That’s why we’re once again adopting the ‘pick the bankers’ method.

It worked wonders for us a few weeks ago with Southend, Luton and Wycombe all doing the business for us.

So, naturally we thought “why not give it another go?”

Burton Albion, Newport County and Exeter City are our chosen selections on this occasion, with a £10 stake on all three returning £68.25 with Ladbrokes.

Burton to beat Hartlepool @ 4/6

Woe is Hartlepool. Now looking for their third manager of the season the Football League’s bottom club find themselves six points clear of safety and in a complete mess.

But Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink’s Burton outfit are unlikely to have any sympathy.

The Brewers will be desperate to record a first win in three games to keep pace with the division’s leaders and a Pools side who’ve lost seven of their last matches in the fourth tier are unlikely to stop them.

Newport to beat Stevenage @ 19/20

Continuing our mini love-affair with Newport we’re plumping for Justin Edinburgh’s side to dispatch of inconsistent Stevenage.

The Exiles have gone eight games unbeaten at Rodney Parade while Graham Westley’s men have been shocking on the road of late.

Four defeats in their last six fixtures away from Hertfordshire are hardly a confidence booster and Stevenage could be made to suffer once again.

Exeter to beat Carlisle @ 11/10

Since the start of September only a surprising home loss to bottom-dwellers Hartlepool has blotted Exeter’s copybook at St. James Park.

Impressive wins against the likes of Wycombe and Shrewsbury have followed that hiccup, and against a Carlisle outfit who’ve lost seven of their nine away games this term they shouldn’t encounter a similar problem.
