Wycombe boosted to beat Burton with both teams scoring!

Wycombe’s League Two title credentials are sure to get a close examination from visiting Burton under the stewardship of new manager Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink, but the Chairboys look a juicy price to prevail under Ladbrokes’ latest offer.

The bookies have boosted the home side’s odds from 7/2 out to 9/2 to win a match in which both teams find the net.

There’s some good evidence to suggest this promotion is worthy of plumping for too.

Firstly there seems a strong possibility that both teams will indeed find the net, backable on its own merits at 17/20.

This bet would have scored in six of Wycombe’s last seven outings across all competitions, while an injury to first-choice defender Aaron Pierre will only enhance the chances of Burton finding a way past their hosts at Adams Park.

But if Gareth Ainsworth’s third-place Buckinghamshire-based outfit are vulnerable to a goal then Hasselbaink’s recent appointment spells out the immense trouble the Brewers have had in keeping clean sheets.

The last time the former Chelsea manager’s new club shut up shop successfully was seven games ago in any competition, while they shipped five without reply away at League One Barnsley in the FA Cup before this.

A run of three defeats in five and only a single win four games ago for Burton, means Wycombe are understandably fancied to prevail in the game, which if they win, there is the huge incentive of going top of the division.

Contrastingly to their visitors, Ainsworth’s boys in blue checkers have been in fine form, taking 10 of the last 15 available points.
