West Brom v Arsenal: Gunners can get back on track at the Hawthorns

Published:

Arsenal restored confidence with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund and in doing so qualified for the Champions League knockout stages for the 15th consecutive year.

Crisis? What crisis? Despite victory in midweek Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was under increasing pressure from fans after back-to-back league defeats and will be hoping to get his side’s domestic campaign back on track by picking up three points against West Brom.

The north London club are 17/20 for victory at the Hawthorns, while the Baggies are 16/5 for a home win with draw available at 13/5.

Here are Ladbrokes News’ best bets for the action…

Both teams to score @ 3/4

While the odds-on price may not appeal to everyone, it’s hard to ignore the fact the last six meetings between these two sides at the Hawthorns have finished with both teams finding the net.

And with both clubs struggling at the back in recent weeks and Alexis Sanchez and Saido Berahino in excellent scoring form for their respective teams, this could be a banker.

Both teams to score and Arsenal win @ 13/5

Despite defeats to Chelsea and Swansea, things have appeared to be a touch easier for the Gunners on the road with their counter-attacking style suiting playing away from home.

With scintillating pace from the likes of Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expect the Gunners to have plenty of success on the break on their way to three points but, taking into consideration the both teams to score stats, that may not stop the Baggies finding the net in defeat.

Olivier Giroud to score first @ XX

Much was made about the fact Giroud was not registered for Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund but in the end Wenger’s side got the job done without the Gunners striker.

Now, the Frenchman, who scored a stunner on his return from injury in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, can come back into the fold after a break and firing on all cylinders against a West Brom side with only one win from their last six league encounters.
