Tottenham v Partizan: Spurs to seal group qualification with win

Published:

Three points is all that stands in the way of Tottenham and the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Their chances of gaining that win at home to Partizan Belgrade, who have only one point in Group C, look very good indeed and as such, a home win makes it into our list of three best bets for the encounter:

Spurs to win @ 1/4

The men from White Hart Lane are unbeaten in a mammoth 17 Europa League group stage games, winning 11 of those and drawing six.

Partizan, on the other hand, have not won in a similarly long 16 games in Uefa’s second-level competition group stage, having lost 12 and drawn four in that time.

Over 2.5 goals in the game @ 13/20

With Partizan only scoring one goal in the group stages of the competition so far, it is the hosts who have to be relied upon to land this bet.

That shouldn’t be too much of a worry considering Spurs have scored in all bar one of their Europa League games this term, including the qualifiers, and on only one of those occasions have they scored less than two.

What is even better is the Lilywhites have kept just two clean sheets in that same stretch of matches.

Harry Kane to score at any time @ 4/5

Finally, after all his scoring exploits in this competition, Kane is being afforded some time on the pitch in Premier League games by Mauricio Pochettino.

Having at last climbed the pecking order of strikers at the north London club though, Kane’s involvement in Europe could now be limited.

That doesn’t mean his replacements are any good, so backing the London lad to notch whether he starts or is on the bench is still a sensible strategy.
