Price Boost: Red hot Aguero enhanced to score first

Manchester City will look to put their Champions League woes to one side when they travel to Loftus Road this weekend and striker Sergio Aguero looks primed to do just that.

Despite City’s indifferent from of late the Argentine has been in fine fettle in front of goal this season and Ladbrokes has a treat in store for those backing the striker to come good again against QPR.

The bookmaker has boosted the City forward to open the scoring from 11/4 to a tempting 7/2 a no one looks better placed to get the game up and running.

City have scored nine goals in their last four meetings with the Rs and with Harry Redknapp’s men winning just two of their 11 games in all competitions this year another pasting could be on the cards.

Aguero has hit 12 goals in his 15 outings this season and with six of those coming first he games he is showing an improvement in starting games with a bang.

Of the 28 strikes he converted in 39 games for club and country last term just eight came first and he can be expected to eclipse that total this time round.

The City star hasn’t faced QPR too many times but his record suggests he loves to play in the capital.

On his last 10 trips to London, City’s main man has netted an impressive seven goals and with he hosts shipping 21 in 11 games this year, Aguero looks nailed on to add to his tally in the west of the city.

City are strong favourites to win the tie, with victory priced at 9/20, while an upset can be backed 6/1.

The draw may be the best Rangers fans can hope for – a result priced up at 15/4 – but with Aguero’s stats hinting at a quick fire goal for the striker the 7/2 is simply too good to ignore.
