Price Boost: Diego Costa enhanced to fire Chelsea ahead

Published:

Backing Diego Costa to score has been like backing the grass to be green at times this season with the Spaniard enjoying an incredible debut season at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard smashed seven goals in his opening four games for the west London outfit and while he hasn’t maintained that streak he is still scoring for fun and Ladbrokes is making him a more tempting bet than usual this week with another big price boost.

From 8am on Saturday the Chelsea ace will be enhanced from 11/4 to 7/2 to score the first goal against Sunderland this weekend.

With a total of 12 strikes from 16 outings for club and country this term – and two goals from his last three games – no one looks better placed to lead the runaway Premier League favourites to victory.

The 26-year-old striker has hit the opening goal three times for Chelsea already this season and with the Blues netting nine first half goals in their last eight games against the Black Cats the chances of a fourth opener for Costa appear good.

Chelsea have now scored in 21 consecutive games in all competitions and Sunderland – who shipped eight against Southampton earlier this season – do not look like being the team to stop that solid run.

Gus Poyet’s men have managed just a solitary clean sheet in their last six matches and the likes of Costa, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas should be able to open them up at will.

Chelsea go into the tie as 2/5 favourites for the win, with the hosts billed as 15/2 underdogs and the draw available at 15/4.

However, with the Price Boost making Costa a 7/2 shot the Spaniard looks to be the best value bet of all.
