NFL: Seahawks running-back stars in first touchdown boosts

Thanksgiving may not mean a great deal to us Brits, but across the pond it’s a much celebrated public holiday and to join in the festivities Ladbrokes have offered some NFL first touchdown scorer boosts.

We think this quartet of offers should prove as succulent as many a Thanksgiving turkey:

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys: (21:30 Thursday, boosts from 19:00)

Jeremy Maclin was 8/1 now 12/1

Eagles wide-receiver Maclin has always alluded NFL defenses and he’s on course for his finest season since being picked at 19 in the 2009 draft.

Already just a touchdown shy of his 2010 tally of 10 from five less games, Maclin has also surpassed his best total rushing yardage and found his way into the end zone the last time Philadelphia took to the road.

Dez Bryant was 11/2 now 8/1

On the opposing offense Bryant has been plucking out Tony Romo passes for fun this season, receving all 10 of his touchdowns via the quarterback’s arm.

The pair combined for the winning Dallas touchdown at the New York Giants prior to this NFC East Thanksgiving showdown as well to make it 5-0 on the road.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (01:30 Friday, boosts from 22:30 Thursday)

Marshawn Lynch was 9/2 now 7/1

Seattle arrive at big NFC West rivals San Francisco for the first of two games following an ultra-efficient 19-3 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

The Superbowl champs are renowned for the toughest defense in the league, though in Lynch they own the joint-top touchdown and the leader in rushing TDs.

Michael Crabtree was 9/1 now 14/1

The relative wildcard of this NFL quartet in terms of pure stats, the Texas Tech graduate caught a 48-yard Colin Kaepernick touchdown pass for his fourth of the season in gameweek 11.

Crabtree leads the San Fransico’s offensive roster in receiving yards too and has bagged half his touchdowns in the first quarter.
