Kamara: Walcott is ‘fighting fit’ and ready to play for England

There’s no hiding from the fact that Roy Hodgson’s England side are in need of inspiration ahead of their forthcoming Euro 2016 Group E qualifier at home to Slovenia.
And according to Ladbrokes ambassador, Chris Kamara, there’s one particular member of the Three Lions’ squad capable of breathing new life into the national team.
According to Kammy, the return of Theo Walcott to the England fold is a major bonus, especially at a time when performances have lacked star quality.
Kammy told Ladbrokes News: “It’s a massive confidence boost for Theo, having come back from such a serious injury. I’ve spoken to him recently and he’s told me he’s fighting fit and never felt better.
With England short of top quality players it’s a massive bonus to see Theo returning.”
The 25-year-old has only recently recovered from the knee injury that put him out of action for 10 months prior to his recent return against Burnley in the Premier League.
And the Gunners speed merchant will now look to provide the spark Hodgson’s men have been lacking of late, as evidenced by their workmanlike 1-0 win over Estonia last time out.
Results and performances like that have failed to dispel fears that Hodgson’s boys won’t have what it takes to mount a serious challenge at next summer’s European Championships, for which they’re currently a 12/1 shot.
On the England squad in general, Kammy has also highlighted another positive, namely the emergence of West Brom striker, Saido Berahino.
Kammy said: “It’s very pleasing to see Saido Berahino in the England squad. He’s young and fresh and with England not blessed with options at the moment this is his chance to impress.”
England are 3/10 to triumph against Slovenia at Wembley, with the draw available at 13/4 and a win for the visitors priced at 11/1 with Ladbrokes.
