Green Bay the turkey as Patriots look to cook up Thanksgiving cheer

Published:

There was plenty of cheer in Philadelphia last night as the Eagles handed the Dallas Cowboys an absolute stuffing and, at 12/1, Nick Foles’ side continue to look a solid bet for the Super Bowl.

However, attentions have quickly turned to Sunday’s mouth-watering tie between the two teams currently leading the betting for February’s showpiece, and it’s the unfancied Patriots who can come out on top and steer home this week’s treble.

New England Patriots to beat Green Bay Packers @ 7/5

Billed as a dress rehearsal for Super Bowl XLIX, Sunday’s match has more impact as an immediate betting event.

Despite their seven-game winning streak, Tom Brady takes his team to Wisconsin as the 7/5 underdogs and while Aaron Rogers leads his opposite number in touchdowns this year, it’s Brady who we fancy to come away with the win.

But it’s offensively where punters should concentrate their efforts with a high-scoring clash likely to play out in front of us.

The Patriots have averaged almost 40 points a game in this seven-match run, and with the Packers scoring 53 and 55 in their last two home matches, the 5/4 for over 60 looks the pick of the bets.

Atlanta Falcons to beat Arizona Cardinals @ 21/20

Since the turn of the Millennium, the Cardinals have been to the New Atlanta Stadium four times and are yet to come away with a win, despite coming close in a 6-3 defeat in 2004.

Low-scoring is the trend we’re going to follow here, which leads us to the 10/11 for under 44.5 points.

The pricing suggests it’s tight, and we’re expecting a small-margin victory in favour of the Falcons.

New York Giants to beat Jacksonville Jaguars @ 5/8

The Jaguars are the easiest team to oppose in the NFL and, despite the Giants’ poor run of form recently, 5/8 offers up plenty of value against a team who have won seven times in their last 43 outings.
