Grand Slam of Darts: Huybrechts to settle score with Van Gerwen

Published:

The latter stages of the Grand Slam of Darts are starting to arrive, with the first set of quarter-finals pitting two sets of group-stage opponents back against each other.

Will the mini-league’s results be replicated or will revenge be slurped like it’s a serving of gazpacho? Read on to find out:

Dave Chisnall to beat Keegan Brown @ 8/15

In finding his way to the quarter-finals, the Under 21 PDC World Champion has defeated Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld.

The 22-year-old has only lost once in the tournament so far and that was in the group stage to Chisnall.

Chizzy has actually bettered “The Killer” in all three of their meetings previously, with Brown never managing to register more than two legs on any occasion.

Kim Huybrechts to beat Michael van Gerwen @ 4/1

Unlike the previous tip, this is a match where we reckon the result from the group stage will be reversed.

Van Gerwen prevailed 5-2 in the early exchanges of the tournament, but has suffered defeat to the Belgian twice this year and in six of the pair’s 15 battles.

The last man to beat Might Mike was Huybrechts in a Players Championship semi-final and we’re taking The Hurricane to end his Dutch opponent’s 22-game winning streak.
