The Good…
Frankie Bridge produced one of the performances of the series so far after her Tango to ‘Defying Gravity’ from the hit musical Wicked amassed 37 points from the judges to top the leaderboard.
The Saturdays star even picked up the first real 10 of the series – and not a “Donny 10” – after judge Bruno Tonioli gave her perfect marks for her portrayal of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Frankie is now 5/2 with Ladbrokes behind 2/1 favourite Jake Wood to lift the Glitterball trophy.
The Bad…
This Morning reporter Alison Hammond will need to up her game if she is to avoid becoming the sixth celebrity to leave the competition after her American Smooth to Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights failed to impress the judges and the viewing audience!
The former Big Brother contestant found herself in the bottom two for the first time this series and is now 9/4 joint-favourite for elimination next week and there is no doubt she will need to improve, especially if leaked viewer votes are to be believed and Judy Murray, also 9/4 to waltz out of the competition, continues to be supported.
And The Ugly…
Wildlife expert Steve Backshill was very close to being tarnished with the ugly brush after his shoddy performance of the Charleston, but with credit in the bank from his previous performances he avoided that fate this week.
Steve, you have been warned!
But even after nearly 10 weeks of training it was never pretty for Scott Mills and his dance partner Joanne Clifton and their Strictly story finally came to an end!
Despite performing his best routine to date, the Radio 1 DJ’s Foxtrot to the Addams Family theme was not enough to save him from the dreaded boot but he goes at the right time and his head held high!
