Azerbaijan may be a much-improved force on the international stage but they head into this game off the back of four consecutive losses, including a 6-0 mauling at the hands of Croatia last time out. Norway, meanwhile, has won two of their three qualifiers.
Bulgaria must be backed to dispatch Group H’s whipping boys here with Malta on a run of six games without a win or even a goal to speak of. The hosts, meanwhile, have already beaten Azerbaijan in qualifying.
Currently on a run of three consecutive wins, Israel are riding high in Group B, though the same cannot be said of their opponents. Bosnia Herzegovina have picked up just two points from their first three qualifiers and will be without Edin Dzeko for this away encounter.
The two pace-setters in Group H face-off in Milan and it’s the hosts who look the more likely to walk away with the spoils. Italy have not lost a Euro qualifier at home since 1999 and have won each of their last eight at home at this stage of the competition.
Turkey may be without a win so far in qualification but as a 2-1 win over Denmark in a recent friendly showed, they are more than capable of beating good teams on their day. Fortunately Kazakhstan are no great shakes either and are without a win in qualifying either.
