Rather than backing a Saints win at skinny odds, equal confidence should be placed on this more circumspect punt landing as well.
Villa have failed to score in six of their last seven games in the Premier League, while Southampton have kept their sheets clean in six of their last eight, including all of their last four; games that they have won too.
With Villa expected to fail to find the net, Southampton will have to land this bet on their own, something they’ve managed three times in the league in total this season and on four occasions all told.
