Swansea v Leicester: Back hosts to open the scoring
There was a time, not so long ago, when Swansea played Chelsea sat second in the table and in the possession of a perfect record.
That visit to Stamford Bridge was the start of the decline for the Swans though, who have slumped to eighth over a run of five winless games.
They’ll look to, and Ladbrokes expect them to, return to winning ways against Leicester in Saturday’s late kick off and we’ve got three of the best bets for the encounter chronicled below:
Meetings between these two rivals have been rather spread out over time, but the last four to be played in south Wales have produced a rather safe betting trend.
In all of those matches one or both teams failed to find the net, while the Swans have been involved in six all-competition games in which a bet of this nature would have landed.
You’ve heard the old saying: “Foxes in their own surroundings do far more damage than nomadic ones”, or at least you have now.
Leicester have suffered all three of their losses in the league on the road and have only scored one goal in those four trips.
In fact, the goal tally has fallen shy of the standard 2.5-goal mark in each of Nigel Pearson’s away days this season.
Although they’ve been in a tough run of form, the Swans have still been able to get their long necks in front in games.
No other team in the league (Man City and Chelsea are level with them) has scored the first goal of the game more often than Swansea this season, who have set the scoreboard rolling six times in eight outings.
Leicester have only managed the feat twice.
