Spurs and West Brom hitmen tipped to slay Croatia once again

Published:

England take a 2-1 lead into the second leg of their Euro 2015 U21 Championship qualification playoff against Croatia, with their two strikers branding-iron hot.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Saido Berahino of West Brom scored the goals that overturned Marko Livaja’s opener at Molineux.

The pair feature heavily in our three best bets for a game which Gareth Southgate’s side are marginally favoured to win:

Harry Kane to score at anytime @ 9/5

Spurs’ 21-year-old has found a scoring touch this season, netting three times in the assorted cup competitions the north London club have contested thus far.

His start to life as an U21 international has been fast, with six goals coming in his eight caps to date and he has scored in all of England’s last three outings.

Saido Berahino to score at anytime @ 15/8

Like his strike partner, Berahino boasts an impressive success rate for Southgate’s understudies. The Burundi-born livewire has played 12 games as an English U21 and has found the onion bag on 10 occasions.

While Kane must settle for cup run-outs, Berahino leads the Baggies’ line and has done so thus far with aplomb, beating opposition keepers six times in nine matches.

Between the pair of them, Kane and Berahino have scored all of the U21s’ last six goals.

England to win @ 29/20

The Three Lions’ cubs have been formidable on their march towards the Euros in Czech Republic, collecting the most points of any side during the qualification group stage.

Three wins on the bounce puts them in a sufficiently confident mood ahead of their trip to Vinkovci while Croatia’s five losses in the last nine at home should help rubber stamp this punt.
