QPR get a tempting price boost ahead of their Aston Villa clash

Published:

Having come so close to getting a deserved point against Liverpool last time out, waiting until Monday night to try and heal the heartbreak must have been torture for Harry Redknapp and his QPR side.

Although there is still plenty of points to play for this season, things are becoming a trifle desperate for the men from Loftus Road as they head into the clash with Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa sat rock bottom of the Premier League and four points from safety.

One win from eight top-flight outings makes the Hoops’ form among the most sorry in the division but a chance to amend that over equally out-of-sorts opponents presents itself at an opportune time.

Villa lost their last four games in the division and are yet to score a goal in that time, a stat that is sure to make those in striped blue and white confident of prevailing.

Those that subscribe to the theory that Rangers’ fortunes are set to change should look no further for a flutter than the enhanced price Ladbrokes are offering on a QPR win with both teams scoring, odds that have grown from 7/2 to 9/2.

The performance at home to Liverpool last time out certainly indicated at happier future times for QPR and a repeat is unlikely to bring such hard luck for a second consecutive match.

Both teams scoring is a regular outcome in meetings between this pair too, with goals being scored past both keepers in six of the last seven clashes.

At Loftus Road this term, the Hoops have only failed to score once and have only managed to keep their sheets clean on one occasion too, making the inflated price offered by Ladbrokes one worth strongly considering.
