QPR v Liverpool: ‘Tired’ Sterling set for more headlines with goal

QPR, who are the 9/2 outsiders for victory, are without a win in four league matches and have just one win from their five previous meetings with the Reds.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will be in confident mood heading to west London with their previous visit ending in a 3-0 win to the Merseyside club.
And after seeing QPR concede 15 goals in their seven Premier League matches to date the likes of the fit again Daniel Sturridge and the misfiring Mario Balotelli should be able to get the goals to see Liverpool past the -1 handicap.
While Liverpool should have enough quality to see off struggling QPR, Harry Redknapp’s side have performed better in front of their home fans.
With the likes of Niko Kranjcar, Charlie Austin and Eduardo Vargas starting to click into gear the Hoops could threaten a Reds defence which has struggled in recent weeks.
That may not be enough to secure all three points though but it could bring in the Liverpool to win and both teams to score market!
The question on everyone’s lips is will Raheem Sterling be bothered to get out of bed and make the trip to London to face his former club?
In all seriousness, the former QPR star has attracted plenty of headlines this week after ‘Tired-Gate’ and it remains to be seen whether he will take his place in the Liverpool starting line-up after pulling out of England’s game with Estonia due to fatigue.
But in a true football script you certainly wouldn’t put it past the in-form forward keeping his name in the headlines with a goal at Loftus Road.
