Northern Ireland and the Faroe Islands hold similarly poor records of late, both winning just one of their last five games, but there is one key difference between the two.
While the Faroes have gone down to the likes of Malta, Austria and Finland Michael O’Neill’s men have lost narrowly to stronger opponents in the shape of Uruguay and Chile.
As such, the Northern Irish go into this tie as 1/4 favourites, with the Islanders 12/1 for the win and the draw available at 15/4.

With Northern Ireland unattractively priced for the win it could pay to have a go at predicting the final score.
This is the first meeting in three years between the sides but Northern Ireland won 4-0 then and at 10/1 are priced well to dish out the same result here.
This may be one for the Gut Trusters out there, but with the Faroes shipping 11 goals in their last five games it’s not too much of a stretch.
Lafferty is yet to score for Norwich this term but bagged the winner in Northern Ireland’s 2-1 victory over Hungary last time out.
He now has 10 strikes in just 38 appearances for the national side and will fancy his chances against the Faroe Islands’ shaky back four.
While, 4-0 may be the pick of the scores at the prices the Faroe Islands can’t be completely overlooked as a scoring threat.
The Scandinavians have netted in four of their last five matches and with Northern Ireland conceding in four of their last five a home win with both sides on the score sheet looks a tempting selection.
