Get huge prices on the new NBA season being a record breaker

Published:

In a little over a week another gruelling NBA regular season will be underway and Ladbrokes are giving their customers the opportunity to bet on one (or more) of the game’s records being broken over the course of it.

A host of Regular Season Specials have been priced up, with odds ranging from 40/1 to the gargantuan 20000/1 on various feats being achieved.

The most likely of those, according to the betting, revolves around Dwight Howard’s record for the most free-throw attempts in a game.

The monster Houston Rocket has been sent to the line 39 times twice in his career, the most recent of which came two seasons ago when he was an LA Laker, proving that a game where 40 or more free-throws are taken is entirely possible.

Among some of the other temptingly-priced would-be records is the 50/1 on 23 or more 3-pointers being attempted, a record which was only set last season when the New York Knicks’ J.R Smith went shot-happy from beyond the arc.

Away from the intricacies of single-game records, the 250/1 on any team winning their opening 16 regular season matches also appeals considering streaks in the NBA are commonplace due to the frequency with which sides play.

By that same token, the 400/1 on a side losing their opening 19 games of the season is another of the longer priced selections to catch the eye.

Of the records priced in the four-figure region, there’s 1000/1 available on any player scoring 101 points or more in a single game or 2000/1 that a side wins all 41 of their regular season home outings.
