Everton join the race to sign Ipswich rising star

Everton have thrown their hat into the ring in the race to sign highly-rated Ipswich defender Tyrone Mings.
Arsenal are thought to be at the head of the queue to sign the Portman Road star, who just two years ago was plying his trade for non-league Chippenham Town, but with the Gunners placing the likes of Liam Moore and Virgil van Dijk higher on the list of priorities Everton could steal a march.
The Toffees will also face competition from Sunderland, with Black Cats manager Gus Poyet understandably looking to beef up his defence in the wake of the embarrassing 8-0 defeat at Southampton last week.
