Enhanced Treble: Arsenal, Real Madrid and Atletico all boosted

Published:

As always in the Champions League, there can be one or two each week that catch us out and spoil those tasty midweek accas.

But with Ladbrokes’ enhanced treble tonight, we can only see a winning result.

The bookmaker has boosted the price on Arsenal, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid all picking up wins from 5/2 to 3/1.

Here’s why the three sides are as good as bankers in our eyes.

Arsenal to beat Anderlecht @ 8/11

The Belgian side may be top of their league and unbeaten in domestic competitions, but, the Jupiler League, is not the Champions League.

The Purple and White’s record in Europe is sorry reading for their fans; without a win in eight continental games, with six of those ending in defeat.

Arsenal may not be performing with a huge amount of consistency of late, but after their 4-1 tonking of Galatasaray and the form of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, we predict three points coming back from Brussels.

Real Madrid to beat Liverpool @ 4/5

This one is simple really. Real Madrid have recovered from a slow start this campaign to win their last eight, scoring 32 goals in the process.

Liverpool conversely have been distinctly average in the months gone this season.

They required late goals to seal a win against Premier League basement side QPR, and have previously stumbled their way past apparent minnows Ludogorets in their Champions League opener.

A certain Cristiano Ronaldo will be licking his lips at the prospect of tearing Brendan Rodgers’ side a new one.

Atlético Madrid to beat Malmo @ 2/11

The price may be short, but with some of the best sides in Europe coming unstuck at Vicente Calderon, this has home win written all over it.

You have to go back to February for the last time Diego Simeone’s side were defeated on their own patch.

That defeat against Real Madrid is their only loss on home turf since May 2013, in a run that has seen them win 18 of 25 matches.

A fourth straight defeat on the Champions League road is on the cards for Malmo.
