Easy win for Ferrer heads our daily BNP Paribas Masters picks

Published:

The action in Paris at the BNP Paribas Masters continues to come thick and fast as some of the world’s best throw down their challenge, with some fighting for their positions at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Andy Murray continued his march towards qualification for the O2 showpiece with victory over Julien Benneteau, but he enjoys a day off with these three bets looking the ones to be on at in the French capital.

Don’t fancy the relatively short prices? No problem, just stack them up and hopefully watch a 9/2 treble bring home the bacon.

David Ferrer to beat Fernando Verdasco 2-0 @ 8/13

A winner in 2012, before finding only Novak Djokovic too strong 12 months ago, it is safe to say David Ferrer enjoys playing at the BNP Paribas Masters.

Only Andy Murray has beaten him indoors this year, and he looks well on his way to another final in Paris.

He has beaten Fernando Verdasco on their last three indoor meetings without dropping a set, and should be backed to repeat that pattern when they meet in the third round here.

Kei Nishikori to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga @ 4/7

The form player on indoor courts over the last couple of seasons, Kei Nishikori bids to reach his first quarter final in this tournament, and will surely not see a better opportunity.

He has lost just three matches from his 23 ties indoors since 2012, and is currently unbeaten on the surface since October last year, a run of nine matches.

His opponent Tsonga has been in indifferent form lately, bouncing back from a first round exit in Japan with a steady win over Jurgen Melzer, but may come unstuck against arguably the most improved player on the tour this year.

Roberto Bautista-Agut to beat Milos Raonic @ 5/4

Raonic may have racked up an impressive 19 aces in the last round, but he was still made to work hard to record a tie-break victory against qualifier Jack Sock as he looks to book his spot at the O2.

With that match possibly taking it out of him, and with him being far from impressive lately, it may be worth taking him on against Bautista-Agut.

The Spaniard comes into this after an easy victory over Richard Gasquet, and is showing some decent form lately having won six of the last seven games he has competed in. A career high ranking could await with victory.
