Chelsea stopper could be first to test new Besiktas loan deal
Chelsea could field two teams out of the men they’ve sent on loan this season and still have four men leftover.
That number is set to increase with the news that the west London club have embarked on a partnership with Turkish club Besiktas that will allow the Blues, who are 2/5 to beat Crystal Palace in their return to Premier League action, to farm unwanted squad members out to the Black Eagles.
But which of the current crop are most in danger of a temporary Turkish trip?
A deflating start in the Capital One Cup aside, the only piece of truly competitive action the headgear-sporter has been able to sink his teeth into was the substitute’s appearance he made against Arsenal.
Cech himself has stated that if his fortunes don’t improve by January he would have to consider leaving and Besiktas, who signed Demba Ba from the Blues despite his high wages, are one club who could provide the stopper a haven without forcing him to take a pay cut.
Since arriving in London last January the Egyptian has made a paltry 14 appearances for Chelsea, of which only half have been in starts.
With Eden Hazard, Willian, Andre Schurrle and Ramires all seemingly ahead of Salah in the queue a switch to the Super Lig could be warmly received by all parties.
Ake is one of the few Chelsea youth that hasn’t been sent out on loan during his time at Stamford Bridge.
However four appearances in all competitions since making his Premier League debut as a late sub in 2012 indicate that his path into the first team is still rather cluttered, especially with the arrival with Kurt Zouma.
