3 reasons why Manchester United can beat Chelsea

Manchester United will go into a home tie as underdogs this weekend after stuttering to a 2-2 draw at West Brom last time out.
The Red Devils are priced at 19/10 to beat unbeaten league leaders Chelsea, while the Blues are the hot favourites for victory at 7/5.
The draw is available at 12/5 and while many think this is the absolute best an underperforming United side can hope for, Ladbrokes News highlights three reasons why the hosts can end Chelsea’s dominance of the Premier League so far.
Chelsea’s depleted front line
It could just be some Ferguson-like mind games from Jose Mourinho but if the talk is taken at face value then both Diego Costa and Loic Remy will be absent from the Old Trafford battle, lightening the load for the hosts’ fledgling defence.
Eden Hazard will still be a threat, but no one still at Chelsea has scored a goal against United in the last four meetings, with the Belgian the last current player to do so five games ago!
A well rested Falcao
While Chelsea will look to the ageing Didier Drogba to lead the line United can call on a well rested Radamel Falcao after the Colombian was used only as a late sub in the draw with the Baggies.
United’s on-loan hitman ravaged Chelsea in the Super Cup while at Atletico Madrid in 2012, scoring three in a 4-1 win over a Chelsea side including Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic.
Add Robin van Persie, Angel Di Maria and Adnan Januzaj into the mix and United should be able to cause problems even for Chelsea’s miserly defence.

The likely return of Michael Carrick
Michael Carrick is often underrated but his injury before the start of the season was described as a huge blow by manager Louis van Gaal.
LVG may opt to bring the fit again midfielder in for Ander Herrera in the hope that the England man can help snuff out Chelsea attacks and provide the link up-play needed to unlock Falcao and co.
