Published:All the interesting storylines from the Premier League’s opening gambit were cruelly taken from us just three games into the season and replaced by the tedium of an international break.
But for all the cursing of such an unnecessary halt in domestic proceedings, there’s been a reasonable amount of humour during the two-game stint of national footballing service.
Never far from an amusing video is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Swedish skipper didn’t disappoint during his country’s clash with Austria.
This is well worth a watch just to see Zlatan’s brilliant deadpan delivery and his opponent’s nervous nod:

While many would have thought, quite reasonably, that the scoreline would be the funny thing about Scotland’s clash with Germany, Gordon Strachan’s side proved themselves a far more credible opponent than the World Champions bargained for. Instead, James Morrison and Christoph Kramer provided the laughs:
