This handicap market provides another head scratcher, as Philadelphia have won all three of their fixtures so far in this campaign.

The manner of those victories may have tailed off in recent weeks; their last two have been achieved by three-point margins, in contrast to an opening day 34-17 thumping of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nevertheless, being handed a four-point head-start against a side that have lost their last two fixtures seems mighty generous.

Detroit Lions -1.5 to beat New York Jets @ 10/11

The Jets kept up their bad form thus far in the campaign with a 27-19 loss at home to the Bears, which means only a five-point victory at home to the Oakland Raiders, who have gone on to thrashings in each of their subsequent fixtures, currently adorns New York’s 2014/15 ‘W’ column.

Detroit found the Carolina Panthers in great fettle during their only road match this term, going down 24-7 in Charlotte, but comprehensive wins over the New York Giants and Green Bay point to a straightforward first away triumph of the campaign for Jim Caldwell’s men.

Houston Texans -3.0 to beat Buffalo Bills @ 20/21

Having shot out of the blocks with wins against the Redskins and the Raiders in Gameweeks One and Two, Houston couldn’t bring up the three-timer against the Giants in New York, but they look a decent bet to overcome a three-point handicap at home to Buffalo.

Doug Marrone’s men caught the Bears cold in Chicago with a three-point victory on opening day, but were soundly beaten in their last fixture at home to the San Diego Chargers.

Home quarter-back Ryan Fitzpatrick and defensive-end J. J. Watt sparkled in the Texans’ first two fixtures and will be out to appease the Houston faithful back at NRG Stadium.
