Money Back on Ryder Cup bets if Team USA grab Gleneagles win!

Published:

Very soon the serenity of Perthshire’s stunning countryside surrounding Gleneagles Golf resort will be disturbed by the raucous jeering of partisan crowds as the 2014 Ryder Cup gets under way and Ladbrokes are getting punters in the mood.

The firm are offering money back as a free bet on losing Top European, Top US Player and Correct Score bets if USA win the Ryder Cup. Click here for full terms and conditions.

Can USA really do it? We’ve already covered five reasons they could upset the odds here at News.Ladbrokes.

No matter where the Samuel Ryder trophy ends up, though, we’ve picked out three possible winners of the selected markets which can hopefully come up trumps.

Top European Points Scorer – Sergio Garcia @ 6/1

Again, we’ve already nailed our colours to the mast with Europe’s seventh most successful Ryder Cup representative of all time.

Sergio is also in electric form this season, posting a ninth-place finish at the Tour Championship leading into Gleneagles, his 10th top 10 in 16 appearances.

Top USA Points Scorer – Jim Furyk @ 8/1

While many will plump for flashy Rickie Fowler or big-hitting Bubba Watson, former US Open and FedExCup winner Furyk has been here and done it at the Ryder Cup, as he makes his eighth appearance.

However, it’s not only his experience which counts in Scotland; it’s the exceptional season he’s constructed.

Furyk’s four sub 70 rounds to earn him second in the Tour Championship, was the American’s third top five in five starts and fourth runner-up spot of a remarkably consistent campaign.

Correct Score – 14½ – 13½ to Europe @ 9/1

Seeing as five of the last nine Ryder Cups – including the last two – have finished 14½ to 13½ to either side, this has to be the score to plump for.

Given the offer on the table, backing the hosts to be on the right side of the scoreline makes sense.
