League One accumulator: MK Dons and Coventry can do the job

Published:

After a weekend in which Leyton Orient and Peterborough failed to provide the wins required to see our Saturday League One accumulator over the line, we have returned with a Tuesday night fourfold that could tempt.

Bristol City are once again in the thick of the action, while in-form MK Dons and Coventry City are picked to win along with the Posh, who are given a second chance to deliver the goods when they visit Gillingham.

Backed as part of a fourfold available at odds of just over 18/1 with Ladbrokes, you could take home £195.69 in winnings by taking a £10 punt on these selections with the bookmaker.

Peterborough to beat Gillingham @ 23/20

Despite failing to pick up three points last time out at home to Notts County, Peterborough’s record of three wins from three away from home in League One means they should be backed to beat a Gillingham team with one win from their last five in the division.

Darren Ferguson’s side were unbeaten against the Gills last season and after winning their last League One encounter with the Kent club 2-0, the Posh look primed for another triumph.

MK Dons to beat Bradford @ 17/20

Since putting four past Manchester United in the League Cup, the Dons have been on something of a rampage, winning three in a row and scoring 11 goals in the process. A haul of 10 points from their last 12 in League One stands them in good stead for the visit of Bradford too.

The Bantams are on a three game losing streak going into this encounter and lost last time out away from home to Oldham in the Football League Trophy.

Bristol City to beat Port Vale @ 21/20

A 2-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Crewe saw Port Vale extend their current losing streak to five games in all competitions and Micky Adams is unlikely to receive much in the way of respite when his team entertain league leaders Bristol City at Vale Park this Tuesday.

The Robins romped to a 3-0 home win over Doncaster on Saturday – their third win on the bounce – and with two wins and a draw to show for their troubles on the road in League One this season, City’s unbeaten record in the division this term should stay intact for now.

Coventry to beat Scunthorpe @ 7/5

Back home and bang in form, Coventry head to Glanford Park on a run of three straight victories in all competitions and there is little reason to think they won’t secure a fourth against the Iron, who may still be reeling from their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Chestefield last time out.

That was Scunny’s second straight defeat and a third could well follow against a Coventry team unbeaten in their last three away games in all competitions.
