League Two Accumulator: Cambridge can cruise past luckless Exeter

Published:

The football action comes thick and fast this week with Tuesday night serving up a full set of League Two fixtures.

And while some of you will no doubt be travelling up and down the country out of sheer devotion for your respective teams, we’ve made the conscious decision to ‘stay at home’ with our selections.

Four willing hosts make this shortlist with our fabulous midweek fourfold paying out £113.72 from just a £10 stake with Ladbrokes.

And wherever you end up between now and 7:45pm on Tuesday, make sure you’re a part of this action.

Cambridge to beat Exeter @ 4/5

Paul Tisdale’s Exeter outfit huffed and puffed but still couldn’t nab all three points against fellow strugglers Oxford at the weekend.

And the Grecians’ long wait for a first win of the season is likely to continue following their trip to in-form Cambridge.

Richard Money’s U’s have found their feet in League Two and can make it four games unbeaten against an Exeter side who’ve lost all three of their previous games on the road without scoring.

Portsmouth to beat Dagenham & Redbridge @ 4/5

Andy Awford’s Portsmouth are in desperate need of a pick-me-up after suffering a third straight defeat on Saturday and it’s the visit of Dagenham that looks set to provide a much-needed boost.

John Still’s Daggers have had few problems finding the back of the net this term.

However, their inability to keep the opposition at bay has been a major concern with the Essex side shipping 13 goals in their opening seven games.

Pompey did the double over Dagenham last season, scoring five goals in the process, and can make it five wins from their last seven League Two outings on home soil.

Shrewsbury to beat Carlisle @ 4/5

Shrewsbury are another side searching for an upturn in fortunes having now suffered consecutive defeats.

In that respect, Carlisle appear to be ideal opposition with the Cumbrians going down 3-0 to Bury on Saturday to make it four defeats from seven league games.

On the other hand the Shrews have been faultless at New Meadow with three victories from as many games in Shropshire and that trend can continue here.

Northampton to beat Hartlepool @ 19/20

It can’t be easy knowing that you’ve got a long and potentially pointless trip ahead of you.

But that’s the reality facing Hartlepool, who have won just once in their previous 11 games on the road.

Northampton are unlikely to be generous hosts either – the Cobblers have won four of their last six at Sixfields – and will be confident of keeping their visitors at bay.

The Pools have netted just three times in their previous eight matches away from Victoria Park and head into this encounter fresh from a 0-0 stalemate against Tranmere.
