Hull to raid West Brom’s striker stocks again for Sessegnon

Plenty of names are being linked with potential deadline day landings on Humberside as Hull look to reinforce their squad ahead of another tilt at survival.

West Brom forward Stephane Sessegnon is the latest subject of speculation as manager Steve Bruce tries to replace another former Baggies record signing before the window closes.

Bruce has turned his attentions back to the Hawthorns where Shane Long was pilfered from barely six months ago, before moving on to St Mary’s prior to the season starting.

Although not strictly a striker, Sessegnon is a player he brought to the Premier League from Paris St-Germain while in charge of Sunderland and the Benin native made a decent goal-scoring impact on Wearside during his debut season.

He has netted at least five times in his last three top-flight campaigns but has fallen down the pecking order under Alan Irvine, where he’s seen only 50 minutes of Premier League action so far this season.

Hull, who are 2/13 shots to stay up, have also been linked with a deadline-day move for West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame.
