After recording five wins from their opening five matches in Serie A, Roma travel to Manchester in tip-top shape ahead of their crucial Champions League tie with the Premier League champions.

The Italian capital club also opened with a 5-1 demolition of CSKA Moscow on their return to European action and while Francesco Totti, Daniele Di Rossi and Ashley Cole are the more well known names in Rudi Garcia’s squad they are not the only stars hiting the headlines.

The Italian forward hit the headlines just over a week ago after getting booked for celebrating his goal against Cagliari by kissing his grandma!

But on the pitch his football has also been grabbing the attention after scoring two goals in his last two matches.

He is expected to feature alongside Roma legend Francesco Totti and Gervinho at the Etihad so City had better pay close attention to the in-form star.

Matia Destro is the man of the moment for Roma after his stunning 40-yard dipping shot rounded of his side’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona.

The Italian, who has been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Arsenal in the past, has been an integral part of Rudi Garcia’s side’s 100 per cent record this season, scoring two goals, and will be a key component of the Giallorossi squad travelling to the Etihad.
