Van Gaal’s words a smokescreen for marquee Man Utd signings?

Both of these players fit the profile of ‘improving the selection’ available to the Dutchman at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, it’s certainly no skin off Van Gaal’s nose to say he is working to get the best out of the current squad, especially as results during their pre-season tour of America fully back these statements up.
Peripheral figures of last season such as Ashley Young have already flourished early doors under the new boss.
