Tumble: Blue Peter presenter Duncan favourite for week 3 axe

Published:

The second elimination is looming large over the cast of BBC show Tumble as the remaining celebrities and their partners get set to tackle trampolining and rhythmic gymnastics routines.

And it’s Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan who’s favourite for the axe at 5/2 with Ladbrokes after his stint in the bottom two last week.

Duncan, who was saved by the judges, saw off the challenge of Loose Women host Andrea McLean in the dreaded vault off but after failing to capture the public support with his routine on the high hoops.

And if there is no significant improvement from the 60-year-old he is likely to be vaulting for his survival once again, something available at the short price of 8/11.

Dynasty actress Emma Samms is next on the list for the boot at 11/4, while super-middleweight boxer Carl Froch and TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh are both 4/1 to leave the show.

Froch struggled with his floor routine last week with the dancing aspect proving difficult for the IBF and WBA world champion but with his next routine coming on the trampoline he is expected to perform better.

Mecklenburgh, who is 13/8 to face the vault, was the biggest improver last week with her hoop performance attracting praise from the judges but she must avoid complacency as she bids to stay out the bottom two.

At the other end of the leaderboard it’s Eastenders actor John Partridge and H from Steps who are impressing everyone with how they have taken to gymnastics.

Partridge, who is 7/4 with the bookmaker to win the show, looks to be in no danger of the exit door and is available at 40/1 to leave the show next.

H is a 5/2 shot to win the show, while Bobby Lockwood (7/2), Sugarbabe Amelle Berabah (8/1) and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding (7/1) should all make it to week 4 of the gymnastics-based talent show.
