Sheffield Wednesday v Nottingham Forest: Back the visitors for victory

Published:

Get set for a real humdinger in the early Championship kick-off as two of the form teams in the division go head-to-head with their unbeaten records on the line.

Sheffield Wednesday are 9/5 for a home victory as they face league leaders Nottingham Forest, who are on a run of three straight victories.

The Reds are 6/4 to make it four win from their five matches so far in the league while the draw is available at 23/10 with Ladbrokes.

Here Oliver Yew previews the action and provides three of the best bets to accompany what promises to be a real Championship classic.

Nottingham Forest Draw No Bet @ 3/4

Stuart Pearce’s men are unbeaten in their last three visits to Hillsborough and after an unbeaten start to the season, which sees them sitting pretty at the top of the Championship, the East Midlands outfit will be confident of victory.

But Sheffield Wednesday have made their own impressive start to the season and will provide another test of Forest’s promotion credentials.

But with most of Stuart Gray’s side’s success coming on the road we are backing the visitors to take all three points back to the City Ground with the added security of the Draw No Bet market.

Nottingham Forest to win 1-0 @ 7/1

The Reds have already shown plenty of improvement at the back this season with Pearce’s men keeping four clean sheets in six games in all competitions so far this term.

Added to the fact Forest have won 1-0 on their last two visits to the Owls (1-0 to the Reds has been the scoreline in three of the last six matches between the teams at Hilsborough) and a similar scoreline looks hard to ignore at 7/1 with Ladbrokes.

Atdhe Nuhiu to score anytime @ 15/8

If Sheffield Wednesday are to trouble the scorers against Nottingham Forest then Atdhe Nuhiu has as good a chance as any!

The Austrian striker has made an impressive start to the campaign scoring four goals in six matches in all competitions, including the winner in his sides Capital One Cup victory over Burnley in midweek.

Last weekend he fired a brace to help sink Middlesbrough and at 15/8 looks a good price to continue that run – if the Owls can break down the visitors.
