Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been a little slow out of the blocks in the Premier League so far this term but have still gone in at the break 1-0 up against Newcastle and Liverpool. With their last two wins over the Potters coming by a 1-0 scoreline, it could pay to back the same half-time result.
After scoring a rather unfortunate own goal against Liverpool last time out, Pablo Zabaleta will be desperate to make amends and could be a dark horse to find the net at the right end. The Argentine has scored in two of City’s last three wins over Stoke and possesses plenty of attacking threat.
While City have yet to put anyone well and truly to the sword in the league so far this term, they have nevertheless looked comfortable in the two fixtures played so far.
On both occasions the Sky Blues have won by a margin of two goals and with Stoke providing stubborn resistance to them in previous meetings, a similar outcome looks too good a bet to pass up.
